Those moments, the shoulda, woulda, coulda moments. The ones that you look back on 5, 10 years from now and think "If I only took the time when they asked"
It is few and far between these days that our kids want us to do anything with them.
I went to the movies with Nathan a few months ago, just him and I. We went to see an action movie, got there early to get good seats. All was fine until the theater started filling up. Nathan sunk down in his seat, I think cause he was embarrassed to be seen with his MOM ( not that anyone payed attention to us). After the movie was over he said "never again mom, will we go to the movies by our selves"! I guess at 14 it is uncool to go with your mom.
Eleigh had a Father Daughter Dance with Girl Scouts recently and was very excited to have David go with her all dressed in a suit and tie. I believe it was definitely one of those MOMENTS to catch. Before we know it she too will think it uncool to do anything with mom or dad.
Looks like they had a fun time
